TYPES OF
Memberships
Active – Persons actively engaged as an examiner, analyst, practitioner or supervisor in the forensic sciences, whose membership application has been approved and whose annual membership dues have been paid.
Life Active – Active members of the Association who have paid their membership dues and assessments for the past twenty-five years continuously OR Past Presidents of the Association who are no longer employed with a government agency are also eligible.
Associate – Persons, wholly or partially engaged in any of the various phases of the Science of Identification, who are not qualified for Active Membership.
Honorary – Persons who have performed some particular service for the Association or have in some way done some conspicuous thing for law enforcement. Such person or persons, upon motion of any member in good standing, may be elected by the Board of Directors or by the Association in conference assembly, to Honorary membership for a period of one year.
Student – Persons who are full-time college students at an accredited college with a major in a law enforcement and/or forensic science related field.
