Night/Low Light Photography (3 hour)
Low light and night photography can sometimes be tricky. This workshop aims on honing the use of Manual mode for low light conditions. The workshop will cover the use of timed exposure as well as various paintings with light techniques. Attendees will have an opportunity to practice the skills.

Students should bring their own tripod, a DSLR or mirrorless camera that has P, A (Av, S (Tv), and M modem and external speedlight (flash) unit. Students should also bring a flashlight and shutter release cable.

Instructor:
Jessica Liang is a Crime Scene and Latent Print examiner in Southern California. She started her career as a 9-1-1 dispatcher before being promoted to a forensics specialist. She has almost ten years of experience in the forensic discipline. Jessica has conducted over 1000 crime scene investigations, ranging from burglaries to death investigations to officer/deputy involved shootings and over 100 latent print comparisons/verification cases. Her passion is in crime scene photography, crime scene investigations, latent print comparisons, and latent print verification. Within her department, she is a photography trainer, as well as, a field training officer. Jessica holds a Masters degree in Forensic Science and is a Certified Senior Crime Scene Analyst. In 2023, Jessica opened her new company, Finer Points Forensics, that provides training and consultation in crime scene investigation and latent print comparisons.
